Update to my original review below (and I bumped my rating down to 3 stars): After a few months of use the plastic supports on the bottom of both bowls have broken off rendering the chopper not usable. I really miss having the chopper and would purchase a second one if it were priced below $20. I highly recommend the Kitchen King Pro for chopping onions, garlic, greens, peppers, herbs, and more. One of my favorite features is how you can control how coarse or fine the chop. The chop feature is also FUN to use. The variable julienne feature is nice too. My cooking went up a few notches when I started using The Kitchen King Pro. Easy to clean, easy to use, well made, well designed, nice price. Doesn't get much better than this. Actually it does because it also comes with a very useful extended spatula, egg separator, a whipping blade, and a salad spinner. Over the years, I have tried several versions of this type of product ( they seem to come around every few years) and I am very pleased with the Kitchen King Pro model. Two innovations here: Suction cup base keeps the unit in place - MUCH better then holding one side of the unit, and an alternate orientation of the "arm" you use to spin the blades-- much , MUCH easier to use, in my opinion. The Pro unit has a tri-blade system, which may be an upgrade to the duo-blade system on older units. This one also has a "Julienne" and "Mandolin" inserts, making this an outsrtanding value. You also get a salad spinner insert and a whippiping/mixing attachment. The build quality is better than most, and the bowl is larger than other models. Storage lid too! UNLIKE lesser units, the bowl does not crack, nor get a "white haze look" after you use it frequently. This unit is handy for everyone, but ideal for singles, college age , or...

This is a quality unit and well made. The only thing I've had time to do with it is chop onions and garlic, and it sure did that well. I put a thick onion slice in it, and the more you turn the handle, the more finely it gets chopped. It even did well with 6 garlic cloves. I am sure it will do well with many foods.
